Fish with Omega-3 for RA

Sablefish with misoI love Sablefish and have been making a point of buying it once a month as a treat for the taste buds and for its extreme high omega-3 content.  I’ve been working with and tweaking my miso soy marinade and broiling method of the succulent fish and getting great results.  Cooking fish can sometimes be tricky to get just right but this broiling method is foolproof and EASY.   Sablefish is similar in texture to Chilean Sea Bass but is environmentally sustainable, plentiful and abundant so a more earth friendly choice all the way around.

Sablefish with miso

Miso Soy Broiled Sablefish

  • 2 cloves garlic – minced
  • 1 Tbs ginger grated
  • 3 Tbs Miso Paste
  • 2 Tbs soy sauce
  • 1 Tbs brown sugar

Combine ingredients into a glass bowl or zip-lock bag.  Add fish pieces and marinate in the fridge 2 hours or longer.

Place fillets on a baking sheet and broil 10-15 minutes.

Miso Soy Marinade

The miso I use is the golden or light miso and is in a paste.  The paste is quite thick and sticky so I loosen it with a small amount of hot water (1/4 cup) and whisk it before combing with the other ingredients.
